Although Cristiano Ronaldo has stood out in all competitions scoring 5 goals in the Premier League and 6 in the Champions League while his rival Messi has only 3 in the Champions League and 1 in the Ligue 1 against Nantes last week, despite having a fully loaded star-studded team with the likes of Neymar, Ramos, Mbappe, Veratti, Marquinhos, Di Maria e.t.c compared to the struggling Manchester United team of the Portuguese superstar
This has shown that there is no stopping Ronaldo even as he seems to be ageing, the Portugal Captain’ goals has also won more points for his team this season in the UEFA Champions League than any other player.
Although Lionel Messi has been tipped for this year’s Ballon d’Or after guiding his country to a Copa America triumph and breaking certain goalscoring records, Ronaldo is indeed a very possible candidate for the coveted award as he doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down.
